Sorry for the long gap between me posting again. I would make up a bunch of excuses but in reality i just forget. How bad is that! I've been in North Wales and have had family friends over for a weekend so i have been "sort of" busy.
Here's just a collection of images that i've found while stumbling around the internet. I hope you enjoy!
This is cleverbot (the one typing in blue) She's pretty fun to talk to. She saves responses from people who have spoken to her and uses these to respond to others so seems pretty intelligent. However i have noticed that she doesn't take the whole conversation into context, just the previous sentence. But still fun non-the-less!
This meme makes me giggle. But it's so true! Some girls will happily prance around in their bikinis and not care who sees but is horrified if anyone catches her in her underwear. What's the big difference really? Apart from maybe a thong!
This image makes me giggle. Especially top left. He just looks so angry in comparison to all the others!
I would be that happy when i got post, apart from the fact that it's normally just bank statements and student finance letters. If anyone sent me a letter i would be over the moon! My dad, knower of all things, says that paper and fountain pen sales have been rising slowly over the past few years as more people love the feeling of sending and receiving hand written mail. Cute.
Continuing with the theme of modern times being LAME! haha. The thing about the present is that because of the internet we can find thousands of useless facts and information that really are pointless and everyone is nostalgic for "simpler times". They want children to play in the streets without worrying about pedophiles or being kid-napped. Apparently those times were safer. I think every generation has this attitude. I bet out great-grandparents were nostalgic for their childhood times. But kidnappings and pedophilia hasn't risen, it's just more widely publicized due to the media accepting that it does occur. And all the technology we now have has led us to create machines which can save lives and cleverbot! We can also travel more! I like the future.
Anyway, moving on. I appologise for that ramble. Hipster glasses! I've mentioned before that hipsters must hate that being hipster is in style right now. But charity shops must be loving it! these glasses are so cute! Those with a nice mustache would look so adorable. Never know she may have one in her etsy shop. She's got an owl!
Speaking of mustaches. you didn't think i was going to have a blog post without cupcakes did you? I love the variety of mustaches on the guys with hats!
Can't have a cucake without a good cup of tea in a super cute mug. I seriously want a kiln now, you have no idea! I love that the squirrels body is indented into the mug while it's tail acts as the handle. It doesn't even need to be colourful because the detail in the design makes it stand out already.
Just like a can't have a post without cupcakes i can't have one without owls. You can now buy this kawaii t-shirt from lolmart. Go on buy one. I know you want to. RLY!
This image concludes my post for today. It's made by Suzy from Folk Art Papercuts. I love how intricate her designs are. If i ever wanted to make one I'd need a sharper scalpel knife because I'm pretty sure mine would just tear through the card. But i may still give it a go.
Hope you're having a lovely week so far!
A blog full of ramblings, Things i like and love, and things i have stumbled upon around the interwebs. A blog full of things which have provided me with a ray of sunshine for my day and a cheeky smile. I hope it provides you with the same joy.

Summer projects
In the summer i tend to get extremely bored. Coming home for the summer from university i find myself living in the middle of no-where. Adding to that is that i'm only friends with a couple of people at home. Most my friends are from university. I do however have multiple siblings and a dog who keep me company and entertain me.
Sometimes however, i get bored. So bored that i just start making things. This is normally the source of all my projects.
Here are a few things i'm planning on making this summer.
Pillows! I'm planning on making lots of them. Lots and lots and lots. This is just the first one. I may put the sun on one side, and embroider "you are my sunshine my only sunshine, you make me happy when skies are grey" on the back.
(p.s. i forget where most of these photos are from as they've been on my computer for a while. I think most are from Etsy. If you do know please let me know so i can give them proper credit!)
How cute is that! It will fit in nicely with my bedroom decor. I just need to go out and buy lots of fabric and pillows now.
I can see this one getting difficult as i add more layers. Not sure how my needle will cope. May just have to invest in a hot glue gun. That would get it done in no time!
I'm debating whether to embroider this onto a pillow or just a piece of fabric and put in the middle of a frame surrounded by photos of myself and my siblings. It's going to be my dads Christmas present i think. Yes i know i'm thinking way ahead, but i won't have time to do these things when doing my PGCE.
This one i plan on making for my mum. I think it would suit her bedroom really well and i can sew her and my dads names in the heart. I don't know how i'll do the tree yet as it's a print. My just have to sew that on too. This will take up a lot of time! Perfect for a month free in summer!
Moving on away from pillows. I have a few old flip flips from Target which rub on my feet dreadfully. I'm planning on doing this: cutting off the strap and replacing it with fabric. It looks so simple. It knots under the sole and fits nicely into the gap left by the plastic straps. Plus you can have multiple fabrics and change them around to match different outfits!
I got this idea from mother hurdle, check it out. She's awesome.
She also make these ones.
They tie behind the ankle and have small straps from the original strap hole to hole it in place. I think i may also try braiding some fabric to make it even more adorable!
Anyway that's all for today!
p.s. if you know my parents, Please don't tell them about the pillows i'm planning!

Green Mint Baileys
After yesterdays post i was left thinking about mint icecream. I love mint. And then i thought about Baileys.
It's my favourite drink in the entire world. I want some right now. I don't care what time it is. I would even have it on my cereal.
My favourite flavour of all is the mint chocolate one. Obviously.
My boyfriend's favourite dessert is cheesecake and i like making them. It's quick and easy. One day agess ago i stumbled across this recipe from BBC Food.
It's a Baileys cheesecake. I would have to adapt the recipe to use mint chocolate Baileys though i think and have mint chocolate chips in the cookie base. Mmm. I really want to make one now.
Oh also. After updating yesterday all about green tea i went onto The cupcake blog this morning and to my surprise they had so many tea and coffee cupcakes.
Green Tea and Kiwi.
Chai Latte.
Double Mocha.
Maybe it's just me but i found that really weird. Anyway carrying on with the green theme. I haven't had any baby animals on here recently, which is ridiculous. And i don't know how i've managed it. Did you know there are no green mammals in the world. Apart from a sloth. Yes i know sloths aren't naturally green. But algae grows on them which gives them a green hint seeing as they're so slow.
Just check out the baby sloth! so so squee!
Who doesn't like hugs! I love squee little animals and their babies. I want a baby animal!
Want more green things? Okay.
Memes can be green. The key two are philosoraptor and bachelor frog i think.
He is literally reading my mind!
I'm pretty sure that they do. I want to know the answer to this. And the answer to the first one. If anyone has any idea please let me know!
Now onto random things that i have seen and liked. They are not green, they are not baileys, they are not mint. They are not related to this post at all. Not in the slightest. Oh well :)
Apparently it's meant for sweets and things and that cake won't actually fit in it. I beg to differ. I will make one. And it will be for individual cake slices.
It keeps your hand from freezing when you have a really cold beverage. Thank you Mr. Shark. I guess you could make one with any animal you want really. Well they have to have a pretty big mouth. i wouldn't use a Bee. You can buy your own on Etsy from user handamade.
Oh he is so fancy! Owls are known for being wise, but i didn't know they were this posh.
Last but not least i found a website. It is called wordle. And i really want to make one, but for some reason it won't work for me. Let me know if you have any luck!

uni, it's pretty awesome.
One of the best things i love about university is the pranks. Light hearted humor is amazing. Well, as long as it's not directed at me!
That's why i love the website college humor so much. It's full of things like these.
Yes, that is a room full of cups of, well, whatever you want really. It would take a long time to set this prank up. And unluckily for the recipient, just as long to dismantle. Try walking through a room full of cups of liquid... impossible.
Another i like, that i've semi-tried is this one.
Wrapping someones entire room in whatever you have available really. Me and my housemates used free university newspapers and magazines for our prank. We covered everything. Each pencil, penny and pillows inside the pillow cases. Lets just say getting dressed turned into a chore. Trying to find matching socks must of taken a while.
You get to unwrap all of your stuff. But it's not exciting like Christmas, because well, you already own it.
Another big part of university is the work, and where there's work there is procrastination. I'm pretty sure most of you out there must of played angrybirds at some point in your life on a smart phone. Well it's now available on-line. No word of a lie. Here it is Angry birds online. Go ahead, love me. I know you do.
And here's your dose of funny pictures. Enjoy. I hope you all have amazing weekends.
Got to love Mario paint composer :)
And just because i love owls. Maybe a little too much.

making things is fun
I like to make things. Pretty things, pink things, useful things.
Recently i made a door sign, decorated a USB, made an owl pillow, made a few more pillows, and a pillow-blanket hybrid. In the past i've made scarves and multiple ceramic pieces.
This is the most recent creation. I had a new USB and wanted to make it unique. I've seen USB's inside of toys and sticks and multiple other items before so wanted to make my own. I had a toy mouse which the USB would fit into perfectly. So carefully took off her head, pulled out a little stuffing and glued the USB inside. Perfect.
I've also made a tissue box cover. It made it to fit over tissue boxes that are cubes. But i think it would look just as good (if not better) over rectangular shaped boxes.
Now you think it's cute already? Just look at it with a tissue poking out of it's blowhole. Kawaii, Kawaii!
The tissue makes it look like he's spraying lots of water out his blowhole after coming up for air. I really want to make some more, but don't know what other animals would look good with a tissue poking out of their head.
The rest of my family is also creative. I guess that's where i get it from. It's quite handy as it means we always have a stash of things i can use to build with lying around the house!
Recently we had a lot of chicken wire lying around the house so my dad came up with the idea to make chickens out of them. My dad and brother's looked amazing. Mine didn't so i tuned it into a peacock. I'm still not impressed with it though.
There's a wonderful website full of things which are handmade that i'm slightly obsessed with. especially the Kawaii jewelery section. And that website is Etsy. You can both buy and sell items on this website with a range of anything from candles to clothing. They really have it all.
Komodokat is one of my favourite sellers of Kawaii jewelry, her pieces are so cute and unique.
Just look at the cute faces on these PB&J stud earrings and the amazing detail on her Chinese takeout necklace.
If i were to ever make my own etsy profile i'm pretty certain that it would just be full of pillows and scarves. I'd be good at that!
One of the things i want to make next is a knitted jumper. Yes i know it's nearly summer, and yes i know the pattern looks ridiculously hard. But just look at the pattern on it!
Can you guess why i want it yet? OWLS! it's got a row of adorable owls around the neckline. If that isn't the most perfect knitted jumper for me i don't know what is. The pattern is available from needled for just a few pounds. It even comes in a size for 6 month olds and 12 year olds.
The only problem is that my knitting skills are very limited, the best i can do is a scarf. So i may have to ask my mum to knit it for me for Christmas. Or possibly before then so i can wear it in the autumn too. I'm giving her plenty of time too. Hopefully she'll say yes!
Making things is fun. Fact.
