Marvelous Memes

Everyone knows the meme faces such as forever alone, FFUUUU and  Trollface. Do you recognize all of these?

Forever alone guy is pretty epic. But did you know that there is also forever alone girl?
Now she has someone to hold hands with forever!
Other memes often come surrounded by a spiral like Philosoraptor.
And slowpoke
And this angry wolf. I don't remember what his name is though??
There are many other easily recognizable memes such as these beauties; hipster Ariel and Pedobear.
And how could i forget my favourite meme owl! O Rly?
Here are a few new ones that have made me giggle recently. Bear Grylls. What a strange fellow.
This little princess is also becoming a favourite!
These next two just made me laugh, they are pretty epic after all.

There are tonnes more memes out there, i'm pretty sure it's impossible to know all of them. I hope you've enjoyed these select few!

Disney Owls

As explained previously in my cakepop post, i love Disney. And today i watched one of my favourites Robin Hood! Have you noticed how much Walt Disney uses Owls in his films? I hadn't really but now i'm seeing them everywhere. Most of the films which take place near a forest have a good chance of having an owl in them.

According to the internet (so probably not true) as a child Walt Disney was frightened by an owl and accidentally killed it. He has felt guilty ever since so puts owls in all appropriate Disney films. Owls often play roles of smart, loyal friends full of wisdom. As smart birds who seem to have an answer to everything. This goes back to Greek mythology when an owl was the faithful companion of Athena, the goddess of wisdom. I knew there was a reason i like them so much. Apart from them being insanely cute of course!

Everyone knows the Owl in Winnie the Pooh. The wise old bird who Pooh goes to for guidance.
And how about the caring Big Mama in the Fox and the Hound?
How about the owl in Bambi who teaches him and his friends about Twitterpating?
Of course you have to remember Archimedes from The sword in the stone. So grumpy but so lovable at the same time. This particular clip has me in fits of laughter with him.
Not sure how many people will recognize this freaky fellow from Alice in Wonderland.
Sleeping Beauty also features an owl with whom she dances while singing in the forest. The owl is dressed in Prince Charming's cape, with rabbits following in the boots dancing.

And there's these two from Pocahontas who seem to appear only to disagree with something just said. For example this image is right after Grandmother Willow claims  " my bark is worse than my bite".

But even i had forgotten about these two. That is until this morning when i watched Robin Hood. And they have got to be the cutest couple ever! They look after each other and have fun together and just seem so lovely. I couldn't find any pictures of them online so took these pictures of my TV. So i appologise if the quality is really bad. But i just had to share.

I want to be like that when i'm old ♥

Queens of Cakes

There are two blogs which i absolutely love. They are both filled with decadent looking cakes and desserts. I wish these women could be my aunt or something, I wish they would send me free food.

The first one is mum of four author of iambaker, Amanda. She makes the most delicious cakes and decorates them beautifully. Most often they have a surprise on the inside! Take this Easter egg cake for example:
How she adds all of those colours and layers without it falling apart in the process i will never know!
One of my personal favourites is her rose cake. Not just because Rose is my middle name, but because it is just so beautiful.
But it doesn't stop there, oh no. Amanda rarely ever makes a cake with a boring inside. This one has vertical stripes! Yes, Vertical! this is amazing. i tried it myself once and failed miserably. I just couldn't get the layers to stay together and not want to crumble.
Isn't it gorgeous! You would think that looking all these lovely cakes would make me want to eat one very very badly. But actually it seems to satisfy my cravings. Whenever i'm feeling peckish and in the mood for some cake i just pop along to iambaker.net and have an oggle.

The other site which i love is bakerella. Angie seems to be the happiest person in the world and always smiling. I really don't know how she manages it. She is in desperate need of a kidney at the moment so isn't allowed chocolate, which is a crime. I don't know how she keeps such a positive attitude. I truely admire this lady and her courage.
One of the main reasons i love her blog is for the cakepops. What are those you wonder? They're perfectly portioned and decorated cakes on sticks for one. Cake is combined with frosting to create balls and they are then decorated.
She even makes some that look like owls!
Aren't they the sweetest things you've ever seen? Literally to die for! I could goggle all of these up in no time.
Another one of my favourite things is Disney. I guess that's what happens when you grow up during the 90's. No other animated films will ever be able to top the original Disney classics.
Angie may actually be able to read my mind. It's like she has made these cake pops for me.

Seriously check out her website www.bakerella.com. She has loads of these and are all absolutely adorable. She also has a book, jam packed of all of her cakepop creations
I spy an Owl in the corner!
